About Studio MAI
Studio MAI London is a design studio dedicated to refining bedrooms for private homes and boutique hospitality spaces.
The studio approaches interiors through observation, spatial editing, and carefully curated objects — creating rooms that feel calm, balanced, and quietly memorable.
Rather than introducing excess, the work focuses on proportion, atmosphere, and the subtle shifts that transform how a space is experienced.

“Mai — meaning ‘new’ — reflects a philosophy of renewal”
Patcharakan “Mai” Greener is the founder of Studio MAI London, a design studio dedicated to refining bedrooms and intimate interiors for private homes and boutique hospitality spaces.
Born and raised in Bangkok and now based in England, Mai’s work is shaped by a cross-cultural perspective that blends Thai heritage with London’s creative and design landscape.
Her background spans fashion styling, photography, beauty, and interior design. Mai first studied Fashion Design in Bangkok before continuing her education in London, completing a Foundation Degree in Fashion Styling and Photography at the London College of Fashion. She later pursued a Master’s degree in Interior Design Practice Management through the National Design Academy in collaboration with De Montfort University.
Before founding Studio MAI, Mai worked within fashion and styling environments that emphasised visual storytelling, proportion, and attention to detail. This experience continues to influence her design approach today — bringing sensitivity to composition, texture, and atmosphere into interior spaces.
After becoming a mother, Mai expanded her creative work into the beauty industry, where she developed a deeper understanding of personal rituals and the quiet importance of environments that support wellbeing and daily life.
Today, through Studio MAI London, Mai focuses on refining bedrooms and intimate living spaces. Her work centres on observation and thoughtful editing — introducing only what strengthens the balance, comfort, and atmosphere of a room.
Mai’s philosophy is also influenced by her upbringing in Thailand. Summers spent with her grandmother in Hua Hin, helping prepare meals for monks on Buddhist holy days, instilled a deep respect for craft, care, and everyday rituals. These early experiences continue to shape her belief that the most meaningful spaces are those created with patience, attention, and intention.
Through Studio MAI, Mai brings together fashion sensibility, cultural heritage, and interior design thinking to create spaces that feel calm, refined, and quietly transformative.
"I believe the most powerful interiors are not created by adding more, but by refining what already exists."
